                                       OBITUARY                                    

                                                                                                                         Darrell Edwin Jordan, affectionately known to many as "DJ," was born on November 18, 1957, in Brooklyn , New York, to the late Edwin and Allamae Jordan. He was the eldest of their children, and spent his early years in Bedford Stuyvesant before the family moved to Sheepshead Bay.

From a young age, Darrell developed a deep passion for sports. He was an active participant in numerous leagues, playing football, softball, and soccer. However, it was his love for basketball and baseball that truly captured his heart. His athleticism and enthusiasm for these sports reflected his vibrant energy and zest for life.

Darrell graduated from Sheepshead Bay High School in 1975, having received his education in the public schools of Kings County. Throughout his life, he remained deeply connected to his roots and the community he cherished.

On December 30,2024, Darrell passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at the age of 67. While his physical presence is no longer with us, his spirit will live on in the hearts of his family and those who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his beloved parents, Edwin and Allamae, and his younger brother. Kevin, who passed away earlier in 2024.

Darrell leaves behind his two cherished daughters, Tiffany (Shawndale) Bryant of Brooklyn, NY, and Deandra (Ehsaan) Dunkley of Poughkeepsie, NY; his grandsons, Ehsaan Jr. and Dafari Dunkley; and his precious granddaughter, Asha Bryant. He is also survived by a host of extended family and friends who will miss him deeply.

Darrell will be remembered for his boundless energy, his love for sports, and his vibrant personality. He had a lasting impact on everyone he met and will forever hold a special place in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
